130/30 celebrates the 130th anniversary of the UC School of Architecture, reflecting, through a selection of degree and thesis projects, the transformation of the discipline and its teaching from 1894—the year this educational project originated—to 2024—the year of this publication. The volume focuses on the academic production of the last three decades, continuing previous efforts such as the book One Hundred Years of Architecture at the Catholic University (Ediciones ARQ, 1994) and incorporating the degree projects of outstanding UC architects who have received awards for their careers in various fields at both national and international levels. Thus, this edition not only marks a milestone by collecting part of the history of a teaching space, but also provides insights to reflect on the past, present, and future of the discipline, the construction of knowledge, and the role of architecture in society. A fragmentary journey that traverses memory, archives, and part of the accumulation of ideas and images created by a community.
